Breakfast
¼ to ½ cup full of Beta Puppy mixed with warm water, feed when warm.

Lunch
¼ to ½ cup full of Beta Puppy mixed with warm water, feed when warm.

Measuring Cup Approximate Quantities:
At 8 weeks: ¼ to ½ cup full.
At 12 weeks: ½ to ¾ cup full.

Dinner
Meat / Dog Meal (puppy meat) with Beta Puppy or small dog meal.
Approximate Quantities:
8 - 12weeks: ¼ of a tin of meat / ½ cup full of meal.
From 14 weeks the number of meals can be reduced to (Breakfast & Dinner).

NOTE
these quantities are approximate only; be guided by your puppy’s condition & appetite. Some puppies go off their milk quite young. Don’t worry, simply substitute a small meat meal or well soaked puppy complete food e.g. Beta Puppy. Most puppies do not eat full amounts in the first few days at their new home. Keep offering fresh food & they will start to eat sooner or later, no puppy will starve itself for long.
If a different food is preferred from those above, introduce it gradually to avoid upsetting the puppy’s digestion, e.g. add a little of the new food to the Beta Puppy.
Vitamin supplements are required except when feeding complete puppy foods. We suggest either: SA37, Canoval, and Vitapet Calcium & Phosphorus or Wafcol bone meal.

ALTERNATIVE ACCEPTABLE FOODS
Omega Puppy, Eukanuba Puppy or Iams Puppy. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions carefully.
Eggs can be given occasionally. Marrowbones are good for teeth and jaws, other bones are not suitable.

FRESH CLEAN DRINKING WATER SHOULD ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE

STOMACH UPSETS
If your puppy seems well in all other respects, withhold food for 12 hours. Then give small amounts of lightly cooked fish or poultry with rice for the next 24 hours. Gradually introduce back the normal diet. If your puppy then continues to be unwell, listless, lethargic, running a temperature or just doesn’t seem its normal self, consult a
VET IMMEDIATELY.
Gastro-enteritis can be serious. Give puppy plenty of drinks with some glucose or honey added but no milk. It is important that the puppy drinks, as it will rapidly dehydrate.

WORMING
Your puppy has been wormed at 3, 5 & 7 weeks using Panacur Paste. Worm next at 3 months old, and then continue worming every 3 months from there after.

VACCINATIONS
We have done the FIRST Vaccination & Health check at 7 weeks old. The second vaccination is usually done at 10 weeks old by the new owners, followed by annual boosters. Before vaccinations do not allow your puppy to mix with strange dogs or walk it in public places.

BITCHES
Usually come into season for the first time between 8-12 months old, then approximately every 6 months. The season usually lasts about three weeks. Spaying, if desired, is usually done after the first season. Consult your vet for advice.

INSURANCE
We recommend you carry on with the insurance after your six-week cover runs out.

HIP GUIDELINES
We have done our very best to breed from sound stock, all our dogs have been hip scored, but not elbow scored.
We have informed you of the parents HIP SCORES.
To help ensure your puppy has good hips like the parents:
Limit EXERCISE, only walking on a lead & do not allow the puppy to jump up & down. Also restrict the climbing of stairs.
Do not allow the puppy to get overweight or lie in damp conditions.

Please respect these guidelines as it is for your puppy’s benefit most of the damage is done before the puppy is
ONE YEAR OLD.

WE EXCEPT NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY HIP/ELBOW PROBLEMS THAT COULD DEVELOP LATER IN LIFE".
